Nokia N86 Announced, Launch Date & Full Details

Meet the Nokia N86, the latest N Series smartphone to be released by the worlds biggest mobile phone manufacturer. The N86 hasn’t been officially announced but it seems to have been intentionally leaked by Nokia to build up some buzz at the MWC this week.

The specifications include a 8 megapixel autofocus camera, obviously using Carl Zeiss optics, and a Xenon flash.

Other features include assisted GPS, a 3,5mm jack plug and a 2.6″ 16 million colour OLED screen, video and music player, Wi-Fi, TV-out, stereo speakers and A2DP Bluetooth.

It’s a smartphone with Symbian S60 3rd Edition and an 8GB internal memory and a MicroSD card slot to increase this to 16GB. The likely launch date is May this year in the UK.

BGR has full details:

The image above is extracted from a Nokia press document covering the background of Nokia’s business relationship with optics master Carl Zeiss. Little beyond the form factor can be ascertained from the document, though an image of the back of the phone does reveal a xenon flash to go along with that much anticipated 8 megapixel shooter. The screen looks to be a bit on the small side which makes us think it will not be touch-enabled but hey - baby steps. Nokia’s new Eseries sets are nice and all but this is the kit we want.
